Chinese oriental wedding course meals are a beautiful and delicious way to celebrate your special day.

The dishes are typically served in a specific order, starting with light and refreshing appetizers, through a hearty and satisfying main course, and ending with a lovely selection of desserts. This allows the flavors to build and evolve throughout the meal, creating a truly memorable dining experience.

Shall we begin?

1. Appetisers

Let’s start with the appetisers. We’ve got the traditional four-season platter with an added sexy to it.

 

i. Perfectly tender seared scallops coupled with garlic butter sauce.

ii. Golden prawn moneybag with yuzu aioli.

iii. Crisp and juicy lemon poached prawn with salsa and mango puree.

iv. Golden mushroom spring roll drizzled with a tangy sweet Thai chili sauce.

 

These dishes are typically light and refreshing, and they are meant to whet the guests’ appetites.

2. Appetisers or Soup

Soups and noodles are popular dishes served at Chinese weddings. They are believed to bring good luck and prosperity to the couple.

i. Our traditional Double-boiled chicken soup with dried scallops, winter melon, and ginseng is nutritious and tasty.

ii. If you are looking for something more refined, our Garlic butter-baked Hokkaido scallop with glass noodles is a classy and delicious appetizer.

3. Main courses

Now to the main course, we go!

The main courses are the heart of the meal, and they typically feature meat, seafood, rice or noodles, and vege.

Some popular main courses include Peking duck, longevity noodles, and stir-fried vegetables.

Fish is a popular dish served at Chinese weddings because it symbolizes abundance and prosperity.

For today, we have two delicious fish dishes:

i. Steamed seabass with soy sauce, scallions, and golden ginger ribbons

ii. Oven-baked cod with garlic, shimeji mushrooms, and cordyceps

Chicken is a popular dish served at Chinese weddings because it symbolizes happiness and good luck.

We have two delicious chicken dishes to choose from:

i. Roasted chicken with citrus orange glaze

ii. Sesame soy chicken with spring onions

Both dishes are juicy and flavorful, and they are sure to be a hit with your guests!

Vegetable dishes are important at Chinese wedding feasts because they help to balance out the meal and provide fiber and nutrients.

We will be serving two delicious vegetable dishes:

i. Charred baby bok choy with minced chicken and shimeji mushrooms

ii. Yin Yang kailan with oyster garlic sauce and tiger prawns

Rice and noodles are popular staples in Chinese cuisine and often served on special occasions.

i. Yong chow fried rice with shrimp and char siew chicken topped with mentaiko is a common traditional dish.

ii. While the Lotus rice, also known as Hor Yip Fan is made with fragrant glutinous rice,

mushrooms, shrimp, carrots, and soy sauce.

The stickiness of the lotus rice symbolises unity between both families making it a unique and popular choice.

4. Dessert

Desserts are a popular way to end a Chinese wedding feast.

They are a symbol of sweetness and happiness, and they are seen as a way to wish the couple a sweet and happy life together.

We have three delicious desserts to choose from:

i. Traditional Tong Sui with white fungus and gingko nuts

ii. Auspicious lotus paste pancake

iii. Coconut sorbet topped with mango puree & chunks with sago pearls
